Adjustment Period

Well adjusting to a family of four has been an adjustment. Kourtney has been a little hard to handle since her brother showed up. I know it's normal but that doesn't make it any easier. I am sure her being 2 is part of it and also her giving up her naps. The combo of all three things is a big adjustment for her ( and us) and we hope in the next month she gets a little calmer. We are working hard at keeping things structured for her as our days that are the most structured seem to be her best days. I feel bad also that she isn't getting as much friend time as usual since I am also adjusting to having two kids, their schedules, and life as a family of four. I feel we are doing well for the most part but don't ask me that around 5pm. That really seems to be the hardest part of our day.

No consistent naps makes having a structured day even more necessary. We are trying to have quiet time although it's more like crazy scream time right now. So we try and after about 15min we just try somthing else like reading or tv.

I am  sure things will improve as time goes by and that helps me relax enough to be able to manage the 5 o'clock hour most days. Not going to lie though I have plenty of crazy mom moments. Ha Ha. I am blessed with lots of great mommy friends who make me feel calmer and more normal with all of their kids stories, tips, and tricks to being the best mom I can be. Not perfect but trying :)

Things she really enjoys right now are playong outside, helping dad with any project but especially home improvment projects, the swing, and her new sandbox.  She is really into waffles, cutie oranges, tomatoes, and chocolate milk.

While my dad was visiting last week her taught her how to buterfly kiss and now shw wants to buterfly kiss everyone. It really is the sweetest thing.

Here are a few pictures from this week.
