Toddler Bed Fun!

A few weeks ago we moved our sweet muffin Kourtney into a toddler bed. It was hard the first few nights but then like most things we started to get used to the changes and so did she.

A few changes were..... some good, some bad, and some good & bad. I think that happens with parenting in a lot of different aspects.

  • Getting in and out of bed on her own.
  • Being able to open her bedroom door on her own.
  • Being able to wake up and play with toys while we still sleep (this is a nice bonus).
  • Climbing out of bed and coming into our room and climbing into ours. Sooo sooo sooo sweet when she does and cuddles.
  • After bedtime she can come out and ask for "more" She will come show us her dirty diaper (good girl), ask for more to drink, want to cuddle, sometimes anything just to get to stay up for a few more minutes.

Crib or toddler bed at 22 months? We should have waited... It would have been easier! However we are a few weeks in now and to far into it to change our minds. So we will stick with it and embrace all the little changes as they come.

:)

Parenting has had it's challenges...the toddler bed change has been a harder one over all for us BUT through all these things we are becoming a closer, more patient, and loving family.

Who is perfect anyway? & If these are my biggest problems then I need to smile it away!

Our next question is in a few months when we make over her room and give her crib to the new baby should we go for a a full size or go straight to a queen. We have a extra queen set so that would be easy. Is it weird though to have a two year old in a queen bed? HELP! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think we should do???? Or call, text, or email me :)  Thanks!

Week 18 ~ Popping Out!

How Far Along? ~WEEK 18~ (9.24.12 through 10.1.12)

Popping Out! So good to be moving out of the awkward fat stage and into the I really feel like a pregnant woman!

Total weight gain/loss: 6 lbs

Names?:

Still the same as last week. Still haven't spent much time thinking about the name possibilities of the new baby. I am sure once we decide if we will find out the sex or not we will get more serious about it!

Regular clothes or Maternity?

Getting round enough where my regular clothes are not all that cute. So I haven't moved to maternity quite yet I have gotten a few things that are longer and a little bigger then normal to be more comfortable in!

Stretch marks? Nope!

Sleep:

Sleep was REALLY good this week. Didn't even have to wake up for the bathroom! <3

Fitness:

Got in a 12 mile run on Sunday with my girlfriend Alexis and even though she kicked my butt I was happy finishing around 2 hours! I feel ready to kick some butt in a few weeks at Urban Cow!

Miss Anything?

Hmmm.... Not really. Feeling really happy with where I am this week :)

Baby Movement:

I do I do! Really small movements but I feel him or her!

Food Wants/Needs/Have-To-Haves!:

I felt like a fat kid this week. I loved pasta, fries, and all things not good for me.

Anything making you queasy or sick:

No fish or chicken please!

Have you started to show yet:

Yes! Popping out! Yeah! Love it!

Baby Boy or Baby Girl Prediction:

Baby Boy,  although everyone else says girl. I did take two Chinese gender prediction tests online. One said boy and one said girl. Sooo well I guess we must wait!

Labor Signs: No

Most excited about after baby:

Cuddling my new baby & watching Kourtney interact with our new little addition.

Belly Button in or out?:

In & I might think I had twins if it was :)

Finding out the sex of baby:

We have decided (I think) that we will be finding out the sex of the baby! Well we might have the Dr. write it down so we can have a gender revel party and be surprised too!

Wedding rings on or off?:

On still except when I go for a long run then I leave them at home.... I am nervous I wont get them off when I get home if I don't!

More Kids:

Nope. Happy Family of FOUR we shall be :)

Mood:

This week I was really stressed and I probably will be all next week until I run this half marathon. I have been so excited to  run this race but in the last week I have become really exhausted and I feel like I have way less energy. Not really sure of why the change but I am going to try to eat really clean this week and still get in my workouts. If the week doesn't go great I am sure I will still be able to finish but maybe not as strong as I had hoped!

Maybe I will have to sign up for another one in a few weeks and see if I can make up for it. JUST KIDDING! After this I hope to stick to 5K & 10K races....until I start to waddle. LOL

Hopefully I will get my happy mood back soon! Being cranky is kinda a drag!

That is all I got this wek.... :)

My 22 & 1/2 Month Old!

Kourtney! How is she doing? So good! Here is a little about where she is at now:

Height: 33inches

Weight: 28lbs

Clothes: 24mo/2T on the bottom & 2T-3T on top. (She's got a long waist like mom)

Favorite activity: Coloring on everything....Thank God for washable markers that are actually washable :) She loves baby dolls and taking care of them. She is going to be a great big sister! She loves picking up rocks and pointing out all the cats & dogs she can. She also really loves wearing big people shoes (But not her own) LOL!

Favorite foods: Grapes, String cheese, oatmeal, fish sticks, apple slices, eggs, and peanut butter waffles. She also really loves suckers however we have those for special treats or to avoid break downs on long car rides or airplane trips.

New foods: She tried lettuce and purple cabbage this week and didn't seem to mind it!

Hair: It's getting longer!

Does she notice baby #2?: I don't think so...but she does pull up my shirt when I ask her where is her baby brother or sister. Really cute.

Diapers: Still is diapers but we are working on starting potty training. We have left her out of her diaper a few times and she has used her little potty so we are on the right track I think. I know she is young still so we are not pushing it although it would be nice if she was out of diapers by March!

Sleep: She is doing really well going to bed at 8pm and getting up around 8am. Some days 7:30 and some 8:30. It has been really nice to get the extra sleep since I haven't been able to get many naps in.

Clements Castle

Our sweet little home is changing all the time and we love every minute of all the exciting updates! We have been taking a break for the summer as we just wanted to enjoy our time as a family and it is really to hot to be working on any home improvement stuff anyway! However.... We decided we have a few big project we want to do in the spring so we need to get going on some of the smaller projects around the house.

Matching Shutters anyone???

So when we moved in the room on the left (living room) had white shutters & first room off the the right had brown ones. Not a big deal right? Well the only thing is from the front of the house both rooms shutters show through to the outside. So although it is one of those projects that needed to get done it wasn't in front of any of our big renovation stuff. So now that it is time to take care of some of the small (but need to get done sometime) projects we are taking care of this! I am really excited about it!

So Here is the before: Down with the BROWN!!!!! Hahaha

Both matching now :)

The old frame needed to come down since it was brown and had an out of date style so we are reframing the window to match the rest of the window/door frames in the house.

:)

Small project Number 2 .... The Bathroom Paint Job!

We decided on yellow! Well actually Zach won this one :) We are also adding crown molding to the bathroom. Here are the "in progress" pics. I will post more and finished ones when we are all done. It is a really light yellow called Shiny Silk. Kind of hard to see in the pictures but reminds me of a soft butter :) Mmmmm now I want to make cookies.... :)

No crown molding yet!

Half painted

Under window painted

Before Crown....No paint either.

Small project number 3! Fixing the gap in our bar! Our kitchen floor since it's old (1934) slopes about 2 inches on the left. When we put in the bar we made it level.... well that left us a small gap on the window side of the bar. So we added a piece of crown molding and it looks so much nicer!!!

Before: This is an "old" before picture but I couldn't find the other picture I took. Either way you can see the gap & my little climber....(Photo taken Jan 2012)

Fitness: Still training for the Urban Cow Half Marathon October 6th. (Looking for cheerleaders if anyone is free that morning) Still trying to get in some light weights, Pilate's, and yoga at the gym! Baby Movement: I think I feel a little something but I am not quite sure... I bet in the next few weeks I will be feeling more!

Food Wants/Needs/Have-To-Haves!: Doughnuts!!!!! (The Chocolate Bars)... Yes! Total fat kid....oh well :)

Have you started to show yet: Yes, although it depends on what you think of as "showing" I feel like I look like I have had a really big dinner and one too many beers. LOL

Baby Boy or Baby Girl Prediction: Baby Boy

Labor Signs: No

Most excited about after baby: Cuddling my new baby.

Belly Button in or out? In

Finding out the sex of baby: Right now the plan is still no. Sorry everyone!

Wedding rings on or off? On

More Kids: Nope. Happy Family of FOUR we shall be :)

Mood: Happy most of the time!

Loving being pregnant: Yup! It really is so amazing to be able to grow a little human!

I found this blog I love and this girl who already had her baby had a set of questions she wrote about every week. I loved her idea since it makes it easy to see some changes! So I stole some of her questions and added some of my own. :)

This format will make it easy for me to keep up and not ramble on my blog posts! Haha

Week 15 ~~~~ Baby number TWO!!!!

Loving being prego right now. The first few weeks, well like 6-11 were really not my favorite but I have been feeling really good since. I have been still getting in my workouts and eating well. I am even starting to grow a little bump!!!

I can't even wait for it to be fall .... only a few more weeks. Cool sweater weather, a cute bump, and a decaf hot tea!!! I am excited for Halloween festivities, Pumpkin patches and Apple Hill!

I have only a few more weeks until we can find out if we are having a little boy or a little girl. Not that we are for sure finding out but I have been kinda thinking about leaning that way... Zach and I decided not to find out with Kourtney and that was so much fun waiting, anticipation, and all the guessing but with all the big ideas coming up for the house next year I have been having the urge to get a heads up on the gender on our sweet baby! Plus although I think the 3d pictures of baby are kind of creepy, I also think they are really interesting and I kinda want to get one :)

I am open for suggestion for a cute pregnancy costume for Halloween???...anyone ..... anyone......???

Zach and I had a really productive weekend around the house and got some small project done around the house! We have a few more to go before baby number two but we still have some time!

We are also working on a list of names for a baby boy and a baby girl. We are open to any ideas so if you have something you want to share with us ... Please send it our way :)

I am running The Urban Cow Half Marathon the first weekend of October and I am looking for a cheer squad to come out and cheer me on! Anyone free that weekend???

15 weeks belly pic as soon as I find it I will post it! :)

The Clements Take On Rhode Island & Massachusetts!!

As the end of our vacation was closing in we had a few stops left to make. We visited Rode Island and Massachusetts for our last few days. We went to Newport, Rhode Island & Boston, Massachusetts.

Newport was really amazing to see for the to of the Jamestown Bridge. Which we got to drive over a few times since we missed our exit and it happened to be the last one before having to go over. Not usually a problem but this bridge is a toll bridge $4 over and $4 back. So well it was a kinda expensive error!

We walked around in the little downtown area and had dinner. Kourtney loved looking at all the people, their dogs, and the big ships! We had a great seafood dinner at a little place on the pier. Well that's not true really. Zach had a great seafood dinner and I had a cheeseburger since the smell of seafood makes me want to barf. Luckily we got to sit out side and enjoy the really great evening!

We also got a chance to spend a day visiting some of the historical mansions of Newport, RI.

We had a great time in Boston too! We went to the New England Aquarium, played in the parks by the ocean, walked the Freedom Trail, rode the swan boats, saw the USS Constitution, and ate lots of yummy food!

Aquarium time!

Park Time!

Freedom Trail Time!!!

Walking city tour....Kourtney needed a break in this cute little park!

Paul Revere's House!

Old North Church

Zach getting his first ever LOBSTER ROLL!

Swan Boat Time!!

Kourtney saying hi to the Mounted police!

U.S.S. Constitution

That's the wrap for our trip! We took so many pictures it hard to post them all! Hope everyone is well! Thanks for reading!

And..... yes dad please go ahead and send me spelling corrections ;)
