Zach's Baby Rabbit!

Rabbit meat ..... It's what's for dinner!

Zach wanted to try out rabbit meat so we tried out rabbit meat. I know it sounds sad, like how could you eat a baby rabbit BUT we eat all sorts of animals and think nothing of it so we tried it AND it was actually good. We made it into kabobs and cooked it on the BBQ. It was really good and kinda tasted like chicken.

Overall opinion: I'd eat it again but I don't need to eat it 4 days a week :)

Baby Boy - Week 27!

How far along: I am currently 27 weeks and 4 days along!

Total weight gain/loss: 21 lbs

Names: We are still talking about this. I really want to get a list going but it's harder then I thought to pick a name for the 2nd baby.

Regular clothes or Maternity: Half and half. I got two new pairs of maternity jeans from GAP on black Friday so that rocked. Especially since I ruined my jeans from H&M that I just got and loved by leaving my fish oil pill in the pocket while I washed them! (Don't try that, the smell will never come out! Yuck!)

Stretch marks:
Not yet but I am growing so we will see.

Sleep: Sleep is going great this week. Kourtney has been sleeping well and that means I get to sleep great too! I know the 2nd trimester is coming to an end soon and that I will be back to the uncomfortable peeing all the time no sleep. So for now I am trying to enjoy all the good nights of rest that I can.

Fitness:  I have been staying on top of all my workouts. I am starting to get really tired by the end of the day so I am tying to decide how to adjust my workouts and my life to get both in and still be in a good mood by 7pm. I am not running anymore as much as I wish I still was but I am okay with listening to my body and doing other exercises. I am running in the CIM this weekend and I am really excited about that.... well except the rain part ;)

Miss Anything: Sleeping on my belly :)

Baby Movement: Yes! I think this baby moves way more then Kourtney did. Maybe because he's a boy? Not sure if that matres or not but it's all I got so I am going with it!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not anything food wise but now that I am getting bigger I get sick when I eat to much to fast. I am not used to eating such small amounts all day unless I am training for something. Plus I eat fast which I know is bad for me anyway but now that I am running out of stomach space I need to slow down so I can tell I am full and stop eating before I get myself sick.

Have you started to show yet: Yes for a few weeks now but it is fun the more I show to hear people say look at your cute belly :) It's fun to hear since I am starting to really look round and it is kinda reassuring that people don't just think I am getting fat.

Baby Boy or Baby Girl Prediction: Baby Boy (Not really a prediction anymore)

Labor Signs: No

Most excited about after baby: Starting to train for Tough Mudder 2013!!! Yay baby!!!

Belly Button in or out? In but I feel like it might pop out this time even though people told me it wont because it didn't with Kourtney.

Wedding rings on or off? On this week but I got really swollen with Kourtney so we shall see how long I can wear them this time.

Mood: Feeling strong. Hit the gym hard this week and that always makes me feel so much better. Kourtney has been doing really good with her potty training all week so that also makes me really happy. My dad is coming to visit on Saturday and that is always a bonus! We have been wrapping up a bunch of small house projects and it feels really good to be crossing those off as well! So all in all I'd say I'm doing great!

Loving being pregnant: Yes. Really I do love it <3

Halloween - A little late ;)

I have fallen behind on my blogging. Not that it really matters but I love to use my blog as a journal and it is really fun to go back and read things and look at pictures I have posted a long time ago.

Anyway.

I wanted to catch up my blog a little today before Kourtney's party this weekend, my dad's visit, and Christmas are upon us!

Here are a few pictures from Halloween!

Our baby girl is TWO!!! Crazy! We had such a blast on her birthday. Zach and I took her up to play in the snow however there was no snow yet! I bet there is a ton now after this storm we are having this week! We will go again and play for sure! We went up Tuesday night and ended up playing on the beach at Lake Tahoe. We wondered the shops and had dinner at Applebees's! In the morning after relaxing and having breakfast we headed home so we could make it over the summit before the storm forced us to spend Thanksgiving in Tahoe :) When we got home we went to the pet store and Kourtney had so much fun picking out a few goldfish for her room! We celebrated at home with chocolate cake and spent the night relaxing together as a family. It was perfect.

Week 24 (11.5.12-11.12.12)

Week 24

How far along: Week 24!!!!! (11.05.12-11.12.12)

Total weight gain/loss: I have my next Dr. appointment Monday so I guess I will have to belly up to the scale soon! (Monday = Start of week 25)

Names: We are still talking about this. I really want to get a list going but it's harder then I thought to pick a name for the 2nd baby.

Regular clothes or Maternity: Half and half but I do love my new maternity jeans from H&M :)

Stretch marks:
No and hopefully we can avoid them. I use Vitamin E oil on my skin after I shower a few times a week to keep my skin moisturized.

Fitness:  This week no fitness to talk about. We started Kourtney's potty training this week so I have be home bound all week! I can't wait to get back to my workouts next week!

Miss Anything: Sleeping on my belly :)
Baby Movement: All the time .... It is so great and I feel so blessed to be able to have a happy, healthy, baby boy growing inside my belly!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not this week. Which is good for me because I have been starving this week!
Have you started to show yet: Yup in full force.
Baby Boy or Baby Girl Prediction: Baby Boy (Not really a prediction anymore)

Labor Signs: No

Most excited about after baby: Watching love on her baby brother.

Belly Button in or out? In but I took out my belly ring this week since my belly is getting rounder and my bellybutton is getting flatter.....

Finding out the sex of baby: Yup. But those of you following my blog already know that ;)

Wedding rings on or off? On this week.

Mood: This week I felt really great considering we did the three day potty training. Staying inside for three whole days is really really hard and even more so when your already prego. But once she is out of diapers it will be really nice to not have to buy diapers for two, not to mention not have to change two sets of diapers!

Loving being pregnant: Yes. Really I comment on the ups and downs but overall the experience is so amazing and I wouldn't trade it for anything!

3 Day Potty Experience

The 3 day potty experience was well just that an experience.......

We started on Monday of this week since Zach had it off and worked form home Tuesday and Wednesday.

We followed this three day potty training however I read a lot of the three day ones and they are all the same basic concepts. This specific one came recommended to us by a couple of our friends and so we were sold.

http://www.babycenter.com/0_potty-training-in-three-days-or-less_10310078.bc

Three days in a small room cleaning up pee pee and poop all day. Talking about the potty, reading the potty, singing about the potty....You get the idea.

We followed this plan pretty closely except we left day three at night to go to a church event. She did well that night however. We left right after she went to the potty and put her on the potty when we got there and she went. She was fine while we were there(only about an hour) then she tried before we left and made it home without a accident.

So I kept a little chart to see how she was doing and what day she exactly has started to figure out the whole process. Kourtney still can't say pee pee, poop, or potty and we are rounding out day 5. But today was her best day and we are really excited that it kind of seemed to click for her tonight.

Here is her results:

Day 1-

Accidents - 7      Wins- 3 (The poop was one of these so I should count it as two)

Day 2-  The worst day and people told me it would be. They were right!

Accidents - 6     Wins- 1 (Again it was the poop so that was at least nice for us cleanup anyway)

Day 3-

Accidents- 2   Wins- 4

End of day three I was feeling really discouraged and wanting to just go back to diapers. Everyone told me to keep going and not give up. So I did and day 4 was a little better. Since its not super warm here decided to just let her go around the house in underwear, socks, and a shirt. Before this she has just been naked. I think she like being able to wear her big girl undies and I think for us it is the ticket to winning. She seems to really like to pull them up and pull them down. This might just be what helped her click. She woke up dry from her 2 hour nap on day 4 ...really impressed me. Today day five was her best day. She had 6 wins on the potty and only 2 pee accidents all day. Including waking up dry from her nap :)

We decided to just do a diaper or as we call it "night panties" at night and let her just wear big girl undies during her nap. She has woke up dry the past two days from her nap so that was really great. Today we had a play date with Lilly & Meg and even took a long car ride to Elk Grove to see baby Khloe during rush hour. She did really well on the car ride. We stopped at Costco to bring them dinner and she used our travel potty and peed right away as soon as we got out of the car. Made it to there house and back to our house without a accident. We put her on the potty when we got home and she went again. I think she is starting to get the hang of it! Yay!

Love my little girl and I will keep you posted on how it goes from here. I do have to say though that if you are thinking about starting potty training the best advice I have is really clear your schedule and do so for like a week. Small errands after the first three days but I think the real success takes more then three days. Especially if you are able to just stay at home even though its really hard mentally. I would just tough it out. Patients and consistency also were key ingredients :)

Wrapping up this post (day 6) She woke up this morning with a dry night diaper! So excited for her and us! I know the night diaper will probably be the hardest sell but I am excited just to see her little body and mind starting to get the hang of it.

Thanks Danielle for all your extra advice :)

Kourtney's 2 Year Well Baby Visit!

Kourtney had her TWO YEAR Well Baby visit today!

                                                            Playing with the paper....

Being shy......

She did well and only had to get one shot. She has always tolerated shots well which is nice, even though today's was just a flu shot. Hopefully it will help her not get sick this winter.

We are good about brushing her teeth but not so good about flossing so ... I guess we need to get better about that. Oh well life would be boring if we were perfect parents ... LOL

Dr. Doan was really good to us as usual. He suggested we stop her bottle at night which we already knew we needed to quit soon. So I guess tonight it will be :)

We also are still working on getting her more regular. So we are going to try some MiraLAX to get her poop a little softer.

We also are working on getting her to say more and more words and more specifically two word combinations like "let's go". Some two year old milestones are easy and some are harder but she is doing well and right on track so we are happy.

Overall we are doing well and feel blessed to have such a happy & healthy little girl.

Here are her two year stats:

Height:88.64%
Weight:95.58%
Head Circumference:78.91%

Until next time :)

Gender Reveal Party!

We had a gender reveal party to tell all of our friends the sex of the baby a few weeks ago on the 21st. We had such a blast! We wanted to not find out but we accidentally did after the ultrasound appointment. It just made it easier to prep for the party! :)

Here are just a few before the party pictures. My girlfriend Tawny came and took some pictures for us that I will post as soon as I get a copy! So stay tuned!

Kourtney's First Bounce House!

I thought she would be scared but once she got in there and figured out what to do she had a BLAST!!!
