Memorial Day Weekend 2011

Happy Memorial Day to everyone, and THANK YOU to all the men and women who have serverd our great country!

Zach, Kourtney, and I relaxed the past three days and it was so nice. We started Baby K on some rice cereal. Not sure she likes it. So I think we are going to wait a little while longer before we try again. I see no need to rush feeding her until she is ready! Breastfeeding is going great now, especially since I am no longer working. On Saturday I went out for a moms night out with my MOPS group. We saw the movie Something Borrowed and went to Chilli's for a bite to eat. It was fun and nice to get out with some other moms. On Sunday we walked around the new Sprouts Farmers Market and sampled everything at Costco for lunch! Mmmm mmmmm! Costco always has the best samples :) Monday we slept in and walked to the park to play after Zach made us some cute heart waffles for breakfast. After the park we put Kourtney in the pool for the second time but this time we used her little baby float/sun guard. She loves the water. We knew she would since bath time really is her favorite! Swim diapers are a interesting experience all on there own as well. Taking a poopy one off for the first time was .... well yea.

Kourtney is a 1/2 Year Old!

Well our sweet Baby Kourtney is 6 months old. I can hardly believe its true! So much work newborns are. What a special time the 0-6mo time period is. I am happy to be moving into every new stage and especially the ones where they sleep more and more at night! We had our shots this morning and did well. A little fussing but went to sleep after for a really good nap and woke up super happy.

Head: 16 3/4in

Walking prediction by Dr. Doan... 7/8 months. Not sure if this is good or bad. I better get my running shoes laced up early and start getting the house ready for a mover!!!

My 1st Mothers Day!

Since I have moved to CA, I haven't had the chance to be home in MN with my mom on Mothers Day so it was really nice to be home with her for my 1st Mothers Day. It really made it special for me :) Here are a few pictures from our brunch at People's Organic in Edina.

First Family Trip To MINNESOTA!!!!!

WOW! What a trip! So much fun!!! Our little family had a blast visiting my family in Minnesota this past week. We had a direct flight to MN form Sacramento (The best way to travel with a little one)! We got in on Friday night and and my little sister Kaity and her boyfriend Alpha hosted us at there house for a BBQ. Alpha is quite the chef and cooked up chicken, steak, pork, and veggies. My dad brought some yummy potatoes and green beans. I went for a 3 mile run with my sister while the guys finished getting dinner ready. What a great night for a run it was! Good thing because Zach and I have our first race since baby on Saturday May 14th! After dinner Alpha and my little brother took Zach out on the town in St.Paul! They must have had a blast since Zach crawled into bed at 2am! Auntie Kaity was so cute on Alpha's swing in his backyard... I just had to take a pic!

 

My little sister Kaity graduated from Augsburg College on May 7th. We are all so very proud of you and all you have accomplished!! We can't wait to see where your future takes you. Graduating with a degree in International Relations and a minor in Spanish you will have so many doors open for you as you go out into the work world.

The last one is my oldest brother Seneca and his adorable 5 year old daughter Aurora! Sometimes these moments are meant to be captured!

Zach went home and back to work on Monday and I stayed with Kourtney so I could spend more time with my family! Kourtney this week has changed so much she is popping up onto her knees so much now and rocking back and forth. She will be crawling in no time! She has been talking and blowing lots and lots of bubbles too! Kourtney also got to go to her first TWINS game on Tuesday night! Uncle Jordan got lots of face time with Kourtney at the game! Although the game was almost hailed out and we had funnel cloud reports we still had a great time, rain poncho and all!

Well that wraps up most of my trip! I had a great 1st Mother's Day as well and I will make that my next blog. Right now I am out of free time :)

Working on my Family!

Well some big changes are happening at the Clements household these days!

As of May 1st, I quit my full time job at Vitamin World and I am going to work full time on Easy Photo Booth! Well, I didn't totally quit. I am going to continue to work on Mondays during the day for Erin time. I am really excited to be home more with my great family and even more happy that I know even at my age that family is my priority. I love working but I love my family more and I want to cherish the moments that sometimes I feel like are in fast forward.

Zach has decided to stay working with DHCS, instead of pursuing other options presented to him over the past month. After long hours of analysis, we decided together this will be the best for our family!

Zach and I are having a date night tomorrow! I am so excited about that! Going to dinner at Mas Mexican Restaurant the out in Old Folsom. Thanks to my in-laws who offered to watch Kourtney :) THANK YOU!!!! Pictures to come :)

We took Kourtney to Santa Cruz last week for a quick family trip. It was short but so relaxing to spend time together at the ocean.

Our trip to SC was so much fun and we can't wait until our next sea trip!

Friday we are taking of to MN to see my little sister Kaitlan graduate from college!!! We are both so proud of you Kaity!!!!
