Wow! Where has time gone? This past year is flying by as I am already starting to think about Kourtney's FIRST birthday party! I can't wait. I love hosting and what a better event to celebrate then the birth of my first little princess! I'm 90% sure we are going to do a lollipop themed party, however that is subject tot change since I am always seeing new ideas that I'd love to use for her party. Can I just throw five parties, so I can use all the themes I would like to use and then not have to pick my favorite? :) I can't believe I used to think 1st birthday parties were silly. Now (post having my own) I feel as they are such a BIG milestone. Maybe mostly for the parents and especially for the moms. I never wondered pre-baby why we celebrated birthdays but now I wonder why we don't celebrate birthdays of our children for ourselves. Caring Kourtney for NINE or TEN months depending on how you look at it, then giving birth, then going through everything new parents experience in the first year.... Hell, someone should throw us a party!!!!
Kourtney is 10 months and two weeks today. Here are a few of her favorite things.
TV = Sponge Bob (stop judging me)
Food = Mashed potatoes & tomatoes.
Activity = Playing with her rattles and drinking out her bottle by herself.
New tasks = Waving and squatting to standing while playing with a toy.
No No (Something we don't want her to play with) = Toilet paper
Least favorite activity = Anything involving getting anymore teeth or sitting in the car seat.
What's new with Zach and I, you ask?
Well, we are in the process of fixing up another house. YES, we are really excited!! Before and afters will come as soon as were done!
We are BOTH training to run in the CIM (California International Marathon) relay the first weekend of December. 13.1 miles each!!!! This will be Zach's first half so I hope we can get some fans out to cheer him on! I will be gathering a cheering squad as the race gets closer so if you want to come out and cheer him on just let me know!!!
We also have a bit of sad news in our life. Zach's grandfather was diagnosed with terminal cancer two weeks ago so we will be loosing him shortly. He and Zach have many great memories and Zach and I will be sad when he goes to meet the lord.
We also are getting ready for Zach's cousin Kristen's wedding net month. November 4th, 2011 ~ Kristen and Dominic will get married and we are really exited to be a part of their big day! XOXO
I will post a few recent pictures of our little love bug :)
