Week 18 :)

Well the rain is gone and Miss Kourtney and momma are so happy to be able to get back out on the walking path :)

We are taking our sweet baby to her 4 month appointment today! I am kinda excited to see her growth progress from her two month appointment. I will try and post again this afternoon to post her stats :)

Tuesdays are the start of my weekend :) So today I have a lot of things I need to get done starting with this blog, and then moving on to cleaning the house, dishes, laundry, and a few errands. Kourtney just went down for a nap so hopefully I can get a few things done while she is sleeping ever so peacefully :)

Still working on my fitness. I have had the pleasure of having Meaghan meet me at the gym to get my butt in gear :) I am making slow progress on the baby weight but progress is the important part.

I am helping Kim and Jackie throw my best friend Bekki a baby shower Sunday! I'm so very excited! Baby showers are the most fun :) Yummy food and games ..... Eeeee!!!!

Zach is keeping busy with work and having fun playing with Kourtney on his days off! Zach picked up a exerciser from Jeff & Autumn for Kourtney to play with this past weekend. As soon as shes  jumping around in it I will be sure to post pictures :)

~Week 17~

Time is flying by and this last month Kourtney has started to do so many new fun things. She has started talking sooooo much more. It is so cute listening to her make all her little cooing noises. She loves looking at big colorful pictures in her books, and on TV. She has started rolling over, although so far she can only go half way :) She get from her back to her belly really easily but watching her try to do anything from that point is just kinda funny. You can really tell how frustrated she is that she can't flip all the way over or crawl yet. Soon, I am sure.  She also int he past few weeks has started to try and stand. She has the strongest little legs for being so young! (Must be all that softball Momma played while she was int he belly ;) ) I love watching all of her milestones although it is bittersweet as I know they only get bigger :( We already had to get a tub to put the clothes she's already outgrown in. She is now moving into 6 month size clothes and we are sad to be putting away all the little tiny clothes. I always thought it was silly when people had a hard time giving away baby clothes BUT now I get it! I had tears in my eyes folding up all the clothes and putting them away. :(''''  If anyone knows anyone with a little girl a few months/years ahead of Kourtney who is looking to pass on some clothes.... we are open to hand me downs! :) Please, Please, Please :)

This past week, Zach played hooky and we all hung out as a family. We cleaned out our closet and donated TONS of clothes to the Goodwill. I can't believe how good our walk-in looks. We went to the mall and got a few new things like new socks and a few new pair of jeans. We had a good time just hanging out together. Our lives can get so busy sometimes we forget to stop and enjoy each other.  

We have a appointment to get Kourtney her passport on Monday morning as we will be taking our first family vacation to Mexico in June! We will be going to Cabo and we just found out our trip is going to overlap with Jeff and Autumn's trip to Cabo as well! How exciting!!! Zach and I are REALLY looking forward to getting a break! 

MinneSNOWta

March 3rd, 2011 Kourtney and I took her very first plane ride together! We had a easy and safe trip. I fed her on take off and landing to help her ears and she slept most of the way in between :) Good Girl!!! We stayed at my parents house and got to spend lots of time with my parents who are overly happy to have Kourtney as their grand baby! Kourtney also got to meet her aunt Kaity and her two uncles; Seneca & Jordan! Kourtney got to see her first snow fall and go for her first car ride in the snow. She also got to meet her cousins on my dads side and her great aunts & uncles. Lucky Miss Kourtney also got to spend time with her great grandma and pa Berg!

We visited the great Mall Of America, shoveled the driveway together after the snow fell, and had lots of really great meals with friends!

Although Kourtney has been kinda fussy for the past few weeks, she was great on the airplane (Thank God!) and was good for most of the week. Meltdowns only occurring after really long busy days!

Unfortunately, upon arrival to MN Kourtney and I received bad news from Zach that Kramer had passed away :(*** We know that Kramer was a great puppy and hopefully he passed away in his sleep peacefully!  We will miss him dearly!

3 Months!!!!

My little sweet baby is already three months old! It is so crazy! I can not even believe how old she is. She is growing like a weed! Eating and playing like crazy! She has the biggest smile now and I can hear her working on her laugh. :)

I am doing really well as month two of being back to work is almost over. Some days are more stressful then others but the overall experience is still really great. I love being a working mom as it helps me define who I am aside from being a mom and a wife. I am starting to enjoy my time off from work a little more now as I am balancing my social life better. At first I felt like my days off were more work then work.

I am getting really excited to be going home to MN soon. I can't wait to have Kourtney meet the whole other side of her family :) She is blessed to have two special families that love her to pieces. We splurged on non-stop tickets, and I am more and more happy that we did as the time gets closer. I think it will make the whole experience a lot smoother.

Kourtney is doing all sorts of new tricks, and also getting to be a better sleeper. She was doing really well until about two weeks ago when she started wanting to play in the middle of the night :( But, all is back to normal now. She sleeps through the night only getting up to eat quick and go right back to sleep.

Vanessa is going to continue to watch Kourtney for Zach and I on Thursdays and Fridays. I am very grateful to have her be able to help us. I love that Kourtney and Kenzie will get to be as close as cousins can be by spending so much time together.  <3 It is super cute to see how excited she gets when I show up with Kourtney.

February is here!

Well it's 9am and the house is clean, dishes are done, laundry is almost done and I have already hit the gym this morning! Life is going great! I finally am starting to feel at ease being a mom & wife. The transition was a bit bumpy but I am happy to report it is smoothing out quite nicely! Kourtney is becoming so much fun to watch as she learns how to do new things and smile bigger and bigger every day!

I am still breastfeeding which I feel very happy about since that was the hardest thing about having Kourtney so far. (YES, even over the pushing )!!!! But it a breeze now and pumping while I am at work is going really well too!

Zach and I both have birthdays this month! His birthday is up first as he is turning 32 on Friday!!! So exciting! He wants to lay low and just have dinner with his family. So I wonder where he will want to go to dinner at! I bet Red Robin! He loves those burgers!! I love there season salted fries so that works for me!

I am down a few more pounds and feeling really good about it! I signed myself up to hit the gym 3 days a week but I am going to try for five starting this morning! I am also trying to go for walks with other mommy friends! Eating healthy is of course a big part of the plan :) It's weird cuz I totally thought by the way people talk that the weight would just "fall off" but I think most of them lied. It's hard work and I feel like I have so much skin. Just stretched skin. I know that's not the most talked about thing but man... I wish I woulda known more about that! I know it will all go back to normal, well at least close to back to normal and that IT IS all part of having a little bundle of joy BUT I wish it was a faster process! haha. I complain on my blog but in my head I know it's really only been two months so I need to just be more patient! It took nine, well really ten, months to put it on and I need to pat myself on my back and stay positive with how well I am doing :)

On a new note! Zach and I are looking into moving into a new house sometime between November 2011 and June 2012! We have been looking online and are excited to find our next home! We also will be renting out our condo so if anyone knows anyone who might want to rent it from us, let me know!

Kourtney and I got airline tickets to go tot MN at the beginning of March! We will be there from the third to the eighth! We are so excited! I tell her everyday how she will soon see her grandparents again and meet a whole lot more family :) Including her great-grandparents!

Kourtney is TWO months!

Kourtney is two months. I took her to her two month appointment on the 21st of January. She weighed in at 12# 11oz., she has grown 3 inches and now is 22 1/2 inches long. We also got her started with her shot series. She had a Hepatitis shot right when she was born so at this appointment she got her second one. She did really well with her shots. She cried for a second then went to sleep. It was hard to watch her got poked but since she was over it in like three min. it wasn't to bad on my heart.

She is starting to play more and more and it is so exciting to watch her learn new things.  I got a great picture of her this morning in her cute strawberry hat :) I have to find a few more cute hats to get her in before she is to big! Kourtney and I went to have a play-date with Lily and Lucas today and I think Kourtney & Lucas liked each other. So cute to see babies play with other babies.

Zach surprised me and had some profesional pictures taken of Kourtney last weekend. I am blessed to have such a thoughtful husband. Grandma & Grandpa, pictures are on there way :)

Zachariah and I both have birthdays coming up. We aren't sure what were going to do but it will be fun to celebrate since we have Kourtney to help us this year <3

 

Back to Work & Busy as can be!

Well being back to work the past two weeks has been a crazy overhaul of my life! I am usually so organized and ready to go but having a baby has slowed me down. Still dealing with some complications from the birth of my baby I am a little more tired then usual but I am not going down without a fight. I am trying to stay as active as I can be to help ward of some of this baby weight and hopefully be ready for a swimsuit this summer! I have seen so many cute suits for Kourtney! I need to read up on babies sun intake and good sunscreen! Any advice? I do feel more accomplished then I ever have in my life. I feel happy to be still floating and able to do all the things I want to be doing right now. A lot of people told me I would miss being able to do certain things when I had Kourtney but I feel like I can do so much more. Even though it is sometimes more work it just makes it that much more satisfying to me when I go after it anyway! Kourtney is really enjoying her time that she gets to spend with her aunt Vanessa and cousins on Thursday and Friday for a few hours. She always comes home so happy :)

Kramer is getting old and starting to have more accidents in the house :( Poor old man! He is doing well on all other aspects besides that though!

Kourtney is 8 weeks old today and becoming more and more alive as she grows with every breath. She is starting to attempt her full smile more and she is quite the good night time sleeper now! (mom loves that part) I do still have to get up to pump but it's ok, at this point I am easy to put back to sleep! LOL

I am looking forward to going back to MN to see my family and friends with Kourtney although I am super nervous to fly alone so I hope Zach and I can work out our schedules so we can go together! I have been hearing that some airlines want to start charging for infants under 2! That is crazy, they can't sit in there own seat yet!!! I have decided I will boycott whatever airlines do that! I can't wait for Kourtney to meet her other great grandparents, aunts, and uncles! Oh and see some snow!!!! :)

Kourtneys 2 month appointment is coming up this week on Friday and I feel like it is her two week appointment. People aren't lying about how fast time flies!

Zach and I are also getting really close to getting one year older here in a few weeks. Zach turning 32 and I will be one step closer to 30 at the ripe old age of 28!
